The time has finally come again!

This year, we are delighted to be organising the world’s only Bach guitar competition that focuses on the works of Johann Sebastian Bach. It is not least thanks to the many generous sponsors who have been inspired by this idea that this ambitious project can be realised again after three years. The seriousness and importance of this competition is documented by an international jury of exceptional artists.

• Admitted for all guitarists born after 1 January 1990 from all nations of the world with permanent residence in Europe
• Participation fee: 120.- EURO
• Registration deadline: 15 March 2025
• Four competition rounds:
  1. until 15 April 2025: Video round 1, three compulsory pieces by Joh. Seb. Bach
  2. until 15 June 2025: Video round 2, program with main part Bach, total 15-20 min.
  3. at 4 Oct. 2025: Semifinal, public event, program with main part Bach, total 25-30 min.
  4. at 5 Oct. 2025: Final, public event, program with main part Bach, total 40-45 min.
• Works from the video rounds may be performed again in the semifinals/finals.
• 6 prize winners will be chosen
• Total prizes around 30,000 EURO (staggered in 6 prizes + audience prize + others)
• 10 concerts + CD production (free Bach program) with CHRISTOPHORUS
